The UAlbany Great Danes football program has a rich history of growth, resilience, and memorable runs. Revived in 1970 under head coach Bob Ford, the program advanced from Division III up through Division II to Division I by 1999. Since joining the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) in 2007, now known as the Coastal Athletic Association, the Great Danes have built a reputation for competitive play and community pride in Albany, New York. The 2023 season was a landmark year, with a share of the CAA regular-season title and a deep FCS Playoffs run that culminated in a National Semifinals appearance at South Dakota State. In 2025, interim head coach Jared Ambrose leads a 12-game schedule featuring a mix of non-conference and CAA opponents at Bob Ford Field (Casey Stadium). We’ve got you covered for tickets, schedules, and insider info to secure your seats for the next Danes game.
