This event features a timeline of notable films from the late 1930s through the early 1950s, spotlighting filmmaker Nicholas G. Viernes and the enduring work of documenting community life. The soundtrack blends original vinyl Original Pilipino Music (OPM) to create an authentic listening backdrop for the evening.

The session centers on the work of Nicholas G. Viernes (1902–1991), a Filipino immigrant and community documentarian whose films captured life in Chicago and surrounding areas.
