The USA Hockey National Team Development Program (NTDP) is the cornerstone of American junior hockey development. Founded in 1996 by USA Hockey and based at the USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan since 2015, the NTDP focuses on player development over wins and losses, cultivating the future stars of Team USA and the NHL. With two squads—the U.S. National Under-17 Team and the U.S. National Under-18 Team—the program competes in the USHL and participates in international events, helping shape generations of elite skaters and leaders.
