What reaches the room
The USA - Japan Goodwill Concert brings together distinguished chorus ensembles from Japan and the United States for a purpose-driven performance that benefits Japan earthquake relief. Promoted by Kaz Kojima, this event was staged at the iconic Carnegie Hall—Stern Auditorium in New York City on April 16, 2012. The program united the Goshiki Sakura Chorus (Japan), The Westchester Chordsmen (USA), and Coro Fenice (Japan), among other contemporary groups, for an evening of cross-cultural harmony and community support. While Time Out noted the concert as separate from Carnegie Hall's JapanNYC festival, it remains a memorable chapter in the city’s musical landscape.
