The Utah Valley Youth Symphony (UVYSO) is Utah Valley’s oldest and most trusted youth orchestra, rooted in Provo since 1960. With two main ensembles—Youth Symphony and Philharmonia—and a recent chamber program launched in 2020, UVYSO provides high-level orchestral training for students aged 9–18. Under the artistic direction of Dr. Cheung Chau and the music direction of Blanka Bednarz (as of 2025–2026), UVYSO maintains a tradition of excellence that includes three prestigious Carnegie Hall performances (1988, 1998, 2005). Rehearsals happen in Provo, and auditions are conducted via Acceptd. The 2025–2026 season features a mix of master classes, festivals, a Youth Festival, concerto nights, and operatic evenings across venues in Provo and neighboring cities. Secure your seats to experience the next generation of American classical musicians.
