The Valparaiso University Symphony Orchestra (VUSO) and the Valparaiso University Chorale are integral parts of Valparaiso University’s rich musical tradition. VUSO is an all-student symphonic ensemble whose repertoire ranges from standard masterworks to contemporary pieces, performing in renowned venues and on international tours. The Chorale, a premier Lutheran collegiate choir, has a published discography dating from Traditions: Hymns, Motets, and Folk Songs (1998) to Amazing Day (2007), produced under the Bach Institute. Together and separately, these ensembles deliver performances that reflect a deep commitment to musical excellence and community engagement.
