The Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra (VMO) is a dynamic, non-profit ensemble founded in 2003 by Maestro Kenneth Hsieh. Since 2009, it has operated as a full professional orchestra under the AFM/Vancouver Musicians' Association, bringing top-tier performances to the Vancouver area. With a mission rooted in mentorship and the development of young musicians, the orchestra provides post-graduate opportunities for approximately 58 musicians while presenting a broad repertoire that spans Baroque to contemporary works. VMOCANADA also explores cross-genre collaborations with opera companies, choirs, and traditional ensembles, delivering memorable concerts across outdoor and indoor venues.
