Vera Sola is the artistic project of Danielle Aykroyd, daughter of Dan Aykroyd and Donna Dixon. A Harvard University literature graduate who studied poetry under Jorie Graham, Vera Sola channels a literary sensibility into spare, emotionally charged music. She gained early recognition for her transformative approach on her debut project Shades (2018), where she crafted soundscapes with unconventional instruments like bones, chains, and breaking glass. Her work blends folk, chamber, and experimental elements, inviting listeners to sit with intimate storytelling and stark, cinematic arrangements.
