Vimic is a metal project born from the late-2010s ambition to carry forward the legacy of Scar the Martyr and Joey Jordison. Formed in 2015–2016 with a lineup that included Kalen Chase Musmecci on vocals, Jed Simon on guitar, Kyle Konkiel on bass, Matthew Tarach on keyboards, and the original drummer Joey Jordison alongside Kris Norris who was later replaced by Steve Marshall, Vimic blends heavy metal with alternative textures, groove, and industrial influences. The group’s journey took a pivotal turn after the passing of producer Kato Khandwala and the shelving of their Open Your Omen debut. In 2025, the album surfaced via a Kickstarter-backed independent release, marking a new chapter for Vimic and a LA reunion show to honor Jordison’s enduring legacy.
