Walking Bicycles is a bold, doom-pop/post-punk duo formed in Chicago around 2004 by vocalist Jocelyn Summers and guitarist Julius Moriarty. Their music blends sharp, concise post-punk with heavy, moody hooks, drawing praise from outlets like Noisey and Stereogum. Early releases appeared on Highwheel Records, with the self-titled debut arriving in 2005, followed by two releases in 2006, ¿GO? (2009), To Him That Wills The Way (2014), and Chooch (2019). Their sound nods to influences from Siouxsie Sioux to Clinic, making for a distinctive, brooding, and rhythmic presence on stage and in the studio.
