The Western Carolina Catamounts volleyball program competes in the NCAA Division I through the Southern Conference (SoCon). The 2024-25 academic year earned the AVCA Team Academic Award, underscoring the program’s strong balance of athletic excellence and scholastic achievement.
With a focus on competitive play and student-athlete success, the Catamounts regularly host exciting SoCon matchups, and they advanced to the SoCon quarterfinals in 2025 after a first-round win in the Ingles SoCon Volleyball Championship. The program’s leadership continues to develop top-tier talent, including standout performers recognized by the conference.
