About the program
The Wheeling Jesuit Cardinals Women's Basketball program is a consistent MEC competitor, emphasizing defense, teamwork, and disciplined play. The 2024-25 season finished 17-11 overall and 13-7 in MEC play, earning the #3 seed in the MEC Tournament. The Cardinals excelled on the defensive end and showcased depth across the roster, with standout contributions from players who earned conference recognition.

Coaching update
Ella Skeens has been promoted to Head Coach for the 2025-26 season after serving as an assistant. The 2025-26 schedule features six straight home games to start the year, underscoring the home-court strength at Alma Grace McDonough Center and giving fans a strong run of back-to-back opportunities to see the team in action.
