The Williamsport City Jazz Orchestra (WCJO) is a dynamic, 18-member ensemble rooted in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Founded in 2011 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, WCJO brings together local professional musicians and educators to celebrate and advance big-band jazz, swing, standards, and contemporary arrangements. We’re your trusted connection for authentic, high-energy live jazz in the Twin Tiers region and beyond.

Upcoming highlights include the annual WCJO Jazz Fest at Lycoming College’s Trachte Music Center (March 28–29, 2025), a centerpiece of the region’s jazz calendar. The orchestra also hosts cherished holiday performances in December at the Community Theatre League in Williamsport (Dec 19, 2025) and Wellsboro’s Deane Center Coolidge Theatre (Dec 20, 2025). For 2026, grants and community support continue to fund Jazz Fest activities, expanding opportunities for performers and audiences alike.
