Willy Porter is a renowned American guitarist, singer-songwriter, and prolific performer whose distinctive fingerstyle technique and genre-spanning songs have entertained audiences for decades. Born October 4, 1964 in Mequon, Wisconsin, Porter studied psychology at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire before turning his attention to music full time. His breakout came in the 1990s with the release of Dog Eared Dream (1994) and the enduring track Angry Words, which helped establish him as a standout performer on the national stage.
