Windy City Blues Fest is a cornerstone of Chicago's blues landscape, founded in 2018 by the Windy City Blues Society (WCBS). This nonprofit organization also runs the Chicago Blues Challenge and blues-education programs, supporting artists and music education across the community. The festival has historically taken place at Toyota Park (SeatGeek Stadium) in 2018 and 2019, and WCBS continues to expand its footprint with ongoing events through 2025, including Willow Springs Blues Fest activities and Willow Fest ties. Looking ahead, the Windy City Blues Fest is planned as a multi-day celebration featuring live performances, workshops, and community fundraising to support blues education and preservation.
