Past finals have thrilled fans in venues like Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens and Providence Park in Portland. In 2018, the Courage edged Lyon 1-0 at Hard Rock Stadium; in 2019, Lyon defeated the Courage 1-0 at WakeMed Soccer Park; and in 2021, the Portland Thorns beat Lyon 1-0 at Providence Park. The 2022 final saw Lyon triumph 4-0 over Monterrey at Providence Park. Note: As of February 2026, there has been no WICC edition in 2023, 2024, or 2025; the last edition was in 2022. Broadcast rights in 2022 were handled by DAZN, with some matches available on DAZN’s UEFA Women’s Champions League YouTube channel, and the event was marketed across 175+ markets.
