About the ensemble: The WWU Symphony Orchestra (WSO) showcases the breadth of orchestral literature—from Baroque to contemporary works—often including live-to-film presentations and new commissions. The program highlights the orchestra’s versatility and commitment to contemporary music, providing memorable musical experiences. The 2025 season features concerts such as WSO Goes to the Movies! on May 17, 2025, and a special performance with pianist Mikhail Voskresensky on November 14, 2025. Additionally, 2025-26 commissions highlight Amara Farah’s Sea Under Stars, a student work.
