Yuriy Bekker is a renowned violinist, conductor, and educator whose influence spans orchestral leadership, recording, and festival programming. Since 2021, he has served as the Artistic Director & Concertmaster of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, having been the Concertmaster since 2007 and the Principal Pops Conductor since 2016. Born in Minsk, Belarus, Bekker is now a U.S. citizen active in Charleston’s vibrant musical community and beyond.
