Welcome to Alamo City Music Club, a downtown San Antonio multi-room live music venue housed in the historic pacing of East Houston Street. Originally known as Backstage Live before its 2014 rebrand, the venue now comprises a main hall with about 1,200 capacity and the adjoining Alamo City Club around 250 seats. During redevelopment planning, the larger space was planned to accommodate up to 1,500 with the smaller space at 300. If you’re planning a large evening, note that redevelopment planning discussed larger configurations (up to 1,500 in the main space and 300 in the smaller space). Parking and transportation: There is no dedicated on-site parking. Downtown parking garages and lots are available within walking distance, and VIA Transit serves the area with routes 24 and 25 providing access to VelocityTX and surrounding venues.
