About Andy's Bar

Andy's Bar was a cornerstone of Denton’s live music scene, spanning three levels: the Basement El Sotano, the main venue, and the Paschall Bar upstairs. Located at 122 N Locust St in the heart of downtown Denton, this venue hosted countless Denton and DFW acts, including the famous JAMBALOO festival. Although the venue closed in February 2025, with final shows around February 28, the building continues to house the Paschall Bar as a separate concept. This page provides a practical guide to the venue’s space, parking, transit options, and nearby hotel and dining recommendations to help you plan your visit or keep a connection to Denton’s music scene.

Whether you’re researching history, planning a nostalgic trip, or looking for nearby venues and experiences, we’ve got you covered with reliable, straightforward information and trusted partner recommendations.

Venue layout and seating
Andy's Bar offered three distinct levels to accommodate different vibes and audiences: Basement El Sotano, the main room, and the Paschall Bar upstairs. Seating varied by show and event, with a mix of general admission floor space and seated options when applicable. Capacity was around 200, making it an intimate setting for both emerging and touring acts. While the venue name is retired, the Paschall Bar continues in the same building as a separate concept, preserving a piece of Denton’s live music heritage.
