Located in the heart of New York City's East Village, Anthology Film Archives is a nonprofit film archive and screening venue with a storied history in independent and avant-garde cinema. Housed in a historic courthouse building, the venue features two configurable screening spaces designed for intimate, focused viewing experiences: the Courthouse Theater (187 seats, second floor) and the street-level Maya Deren Theater (72 seats). With a total seated capacity of up to 259, Anthology offers a cozy, accessible setting for screenings, retrospectives, and filmmaker-led events. Seating is fixed per room, and floor plans are available by inquiry.
