About Askanase Hall

Askanase Hall is a versatile campus venue on the North Dakota State University campus in Fargo. The complex houses two distinct performance spaces—the Askanase Auditorium (380 seats) and the Walsh Studio Theatre (the black box space)—making it a flexible home for Theatre NDSU productions and other campus performances. Located at the corner of 12th Avenue North and Albrecht Boulevard, the venue is easily accessible for students and the public alike.

Whether you’re catching a full-scale production in the main auditorium or an intimate piece in the Walsh Studio Theatre, you’ll find a straightforward, reliable ticket buying experience with Gold Coast Tickets. We’ve got you covered from parking to nearby lodging and dining options, so you can focus on the show.

Parking is available in Lot T, just one block west of the Askanase Auditorium, with handicapped parking at the southwest corner of the building. The surrounding Fine Arts facilities manage box office and Will Call procedures. For transportation, MATBUS serves the Fargo area and offers On-Demand campus transit after hours, making it convenient to reach Askanase Hall from campus or downtown Fargo. If you’re planning a weekend arts trip, consider staying at Candlewood Suites adjacent to the campus, or nearby options like Jasper Hotel and Radisson Blu in downtown Fargo. These lodging partners are often featured on the NDSU Lodging Options page and frequently offer negotiated rates for campus events.

Notable events hosted at Askanase Hall include Theatre NDSU productions such as Romeo and Juliet performed in Walsh Studio Theatre (2025) and Twas the Night Before Christmas staged in Askanase Auditorium (2024). In recent years, the campus expanded its arts footprint with Challey Hall (the renamed Reineke Fine Arts Center) opening in 2025 as part of the arts expansion program, while Askanase Hall remains an active performance venue on campus.

When you’re ready to secure seats, we’ll help you find the best availability for both spaces. Think of us as your go-to friend in the business—reliable, straightforward, and ready to help you lock in tickets, parking tips, and local lodging without the fuss.
