About Austin Central Library
Welcome to the Austin Central Library, a modern public library in the Seaholm district that also serves as a versatile event venue. Since opening in October 2017, the library has hosted author talks, community gatherings, and festival programming in spaces designed to accommodate a variety of setups. Whether you’re planning a theater-style lecture, a banquet reception, a classroom-style workshop, or an outdoor gathering, we’ve got you covered with flexible spaces and easy access to downtown Austin.

The library offers several rentable spaces, including the Special Event Center, Demonstration Area, Art Gallery, Roof Garden, Outdoor Amphitheater, and Reading Room, each with different capacities and configurations.
