About Austria Center

The Austria Center Vienna (ACV) is Austria’s largest congress and conference center, accommodating events from intimate seminars to large-scale gatherings. Located at Bruno-Kreisky-Platz 1, 1220 Vienna, ACV offers versatile spaces, modern facilities, and convenient transport links for attendees and exhibitors alike. Whether you’re hosting a European radiology congress, geoscience assembly, or a multinational conference, ACV is built to handle high-traffic, complex programs with reliability and efficiency.

With a total capacity of up to 22,800 people depending on configuration, ACV features several halls suited to different formats. The largest hall combination is Hall ABC (A+B+C), which seats up to 4,370 theatre-style, while Hall A seats up to 3,016, Hall B up to 677, and Hall ABC can accommodate up to 2,184 for banquets. An on-site parking garage provides around 700 spaces for event days, making arrival planning straightforward.

ACV maintains a robust calendar of high-profile conferences, including the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) and the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly, along with activities connected to EU Presidency initiatives at the Permanent Conference & Media Centre. The venue remains a stable anchor adjacent to VIC/UNO City and offers seamless access to Vienna’s city core and international transit hubs.

When you’re planning a visit to ACV, secure your seats through trusted channels and take advantage of nearby hotels and dining options designed for event attendees. For those traveling from central Vienna, the easiest transit option is the U1 line: a 7-minute ride from Stephansplatz to Kaisermühlen-VIC, the closest U-Bahn access point to the venue. If you’re driving, the on-site garage is convenient, with scalable tariffs to fit single-day or multi-day attendance.

We’ve gathered reliable hotel and restaurant recommendations in the VIC area to help you plan accommodations and meals around your event schedule. Our partner options emphasize comfort, accessibility, and proximity to ACV, so you can focus on the program while we handle the logistics.
