Briggs Theatre is a small, intimate proscenium theatre housed in the Fine Arts Building on the University of Kentucky campus. With a compact stage and a limited fly loft, it offers a close-up, immersive experience for audiences. The venue also serves as a classroom for theatre courses, reflecting its dual role in performance and education. Originally named the Lab Theatre, it was renamed Briggs Theatre in 1986 in honor of Professor Wallace N. Briggs.
