About Bruce II Sports Centre

Bruce II Sports Centre is the multi-use recreation hub serving Channel-Port Basques and the surrounding area. With an Olympic-sized ice rink, two curling sheets, a six-lane bowling alley, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, and versatile meeting facilities, it’s where local teams train, families play, and regional events come to life. The centre supports Port aux Basques Minor Hockey, Port aux Basques Figure Skating Club, Molson Recreational Hockey, and more, making it a cornerstone of the community’s sporting and recreation calendar.

Located at 200 Hardy's Arterial Road, Port aux Basques, the Bruce II Sports Centre combines recreation with convenient access for residents and visitors alike. Recent upgrades focused on energy efficiency make the venue a forward-thinking community space that’s built to last.

Note: In January 2026, a wind event temporarily closed portions of the facility. As of early 2026 updates, the bowling alley, pool, curling sheets, and fitness centre were back in operation, with the ice rink undergoing ongoing structural assessment.
