Welcome to the Barbara & George H.W. Bush Convention Center in Midland, TX. Operated by the Midland Chamber of Commerce and opened in 2019, this city-owned venue offers flexible spaces for conferences, weddings, expos, and city events. The center blends modern facilities with convenient access, right in the heart of downtown Midland. With nearly 77,000 square feet of space, the center features a 20,000 square foot Exhibit Hall, a 6,000 square foot Ballroom, and multiple meeting rooms totaling around 3,000–3,400 square feet. The expansive lobby provides a welcoming entry for attendees, while room layouts can be adjusted online via Social Tables up to two weeks before your event. Seating capacity varies by space and setup. The Ballroom can accommodate up to 450 in a theatre-style arrangement, and the Exhibit Hall supports up to about 1,170 banquet-style. There is no dedicated loading dock, but an on-site load-in area is available, with nearby parking options including a garage with ~130 spaces and a surface lot with ~110 spaces. Public transit via Midland EZ-Rider serves the area, and Centennial Park plus the convention center are within easy walking distance of multiple bus stops. Nearby hotels include the Downtown Wyndham Midland Downtown (formerly DoubleTree Midland Plaza) across from the center, with additional downtown and near-downtown options a short drive away.
