About Calgary Heritage Park
Calgary Heritage Park is a year-round destination for history lovers and families, featuring the Gasoline Alley Museum and the S.S. Moyie paddlewheel area. While the Historical Village is temporarily closed for regular operations until Spring 2026, visitors can still explore the site’s notable venues and exhibits, including the Electric Streetcar System on Heritage Plaza. The park is easy to reach from downtown Calgary and offers practical parking and transit options, as well as curated accommodations and dining partners nearby. We’ve got you covered with seating details, parking guidance, transit routes, and trusted partner hotel and restaurant recommendations to help you plan a smooth visit.
Whether you’re attending Railway Days, Alberta Day, or Days of Yore, Calgary Heritage Park remains a vibrant hub for heritage experiences. For intimate seating and event spaces, note that Canmore Opera House seats up to 120, Gasoline Alley Museum accommodates up to 420, and the S.S. Moyie paddlewheel area supports up to 200 standing guests. For the latest event dates and exhibits, check our listings and the park’s official channels. Remember, Heritage Park is active with the village temporarily closed for regular access, not demolished or renamed—just operating with a different schedule while ongoing restorations continue.
Secure your seats, plan your parking, and reserve recommended stays with our trusted partners to make the most of your Calgary visit.
