About Centro Cultural Recoleta

Centro Cultural Recoleta (CCR) is a dynamic public cultural center operated by the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires. Since opening in 1980 as Centro Cultural Ciudad de Buenos Aires and renaming in 1990, CCR has become a hub for exhibitions, performances, and community events. With more than 18,000 m² of spaces—including the Auditorio El Aleph (Capilla), Sala Cronopios, Sala J, Sala C, Sala Villa Villa, Terraza, and the Cine y Museo Participativo de Ciencias—CCR welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors each year (2024 attendance was ~700,000).
