About Copious/Notes
In the heart of downtown Columbus, Copious/Notes offers a multi-space venue experience anchored by Copious (the main floor restaurant and bar), Notes (the intimate basement music venue), and the McGowan Loft (upstairs event space). Located at 520 S High St, this cluster of rooms has hosted jazz, creativity events, and community gatherings since Notes opened in the mid-2010s. While the physical venue has undergone changes and is slated to be repurposed into Stillhaus, a luxury thermal spa opening targeted for late 2026, the site remains a notable part of Columbus’s live-event history. This page covers seating, parking, transit, and nearby hotel and dining options to help you plan a visit or a future night out in the area.
Notes basement hosted intimate performances with approximately great seats capacity, while the Copious main floor accommodated around great seats attendees. The upstairs McGowan Loft could host up to about great seats for private events. Since the building’s 2020 sale, plans have moved toward transformation into Stillhaus, continuing Columbus’s tradition of accessible, community-focused experiences.
