About Ecole Father Jan Community School

The Ecole Father Jan Community School (EFJ) closed on June 30, 2023 as part of a district consolidation and reorganization of the St. Albert French Immersion campuses. Today, EFJ no longer hosts events as a standalone venue. Public programming and school events are now hosted at the two consolidated campuses: École Sacré Coeur (K–4) at 100 Sir Winston Churchill Ave and École Secondaire Sainte Marguerite d’Youville (ESSMY) (5–9) at 51 Boudreau Rd. When planning visits or events in St. Albert, use these campuses as the official venues for activities that would have previously taken place at EFJ.

  • EFJ closed on June 30, 2023 following GSACRD board action on January 9, 2023 to consolidate EFJ with École Marie Poburan and ESSMY.
  • EFJ was decommissioned and consolidated into two campuses as part of a single-track French Immersion Campus: École Sacré Coeur (K-4) at 100 Sir Winston Churchill Ave and École Secondaire Sainte Marguerite d’Youville (ESSMY) (5-9) at 51 Boudreau Rd.
