About El Cosmico
El Cosmico has long stood as a distinctive frontier-style venue in Marfa, Texas. Originally occupying 21 acres at 802 S Highland Ave, the site blended nomadic lodging with an outdoor stage and communal spaces, hosting events like the Trans-Pecos Festival of Music + Love. The landmark is evolving into El Cosmico 2.0, a larger development on Antelope Hills Rd that will span 60+ acres and feature Sunday Homes residences and largely 3D-printed components by ICON and BIG. While the land shifts, we’ve got you covered with practical details to help you plan visits, private events, and future experiences.
Note: The original land is now closed to public access, and private events and location shoots are coordinated directly with El Cosmico. When planning, think of El Cosmico as a place with a storied past and an ambitious future in the heart of West Texas.
Parking and transportation details reflect current access considerations for events and private bookings. For lodging, El Cosmico historically offered renovated vintage trailers, yurts, teepees, and tents, with private on-site lodging continuing as the site evolves. Nearby hotels and restaurants in Marfa provide convenient options for visitors, and affiliate partners can help you secure comfortable stays and satisfying meals as you plan your trip. Reach out to us for updated guidance on availability and options as El Cosmico 2.0 develops toward its 2027 opening.
