Empire Garage, officially operating as Empire Control Room & Garage, is a multi-space live music venue housed in downtown Austin at 606 E. 7th Street. Featuring two connected indoor/outdoor rooms—the Garage (capacity ~1,050) and the Control Room (capacity ~350)—plus a welcoming Patio (~200), it offers a versatile environment for a wide range of touring acts and smartly blends indoor and outdoor vibes. The venue has a storied history with SXSW showcases and continues to host contemporary touring artists such as Maggie Lindemann and Kash’d Out. When you’re planning a night out, you’ll find flexible space, straightforward GA access, and plenty of opportunities to catch great live music close to downtown hotels and dining.

Note: seating is typically GA standing, with some seating zones within the Control Room. There isn’t a publicly published seating chart, so be ready for a dynamic, high-energy experience where sightlines and sound shine in each room.
