About Fulton County Southwest Arts Center
Welcome to Fulton County Southwest Arts Center (SWAC), a city-operated arts venue in south Atlanta that houses two dynamic spaces—the Studio Building and the Performance Theatre & Gallery. SWAC serves as a community hub for theater, dance, visual art, and rotating exhibitions. Whether you’re attending a performance by a resident company like True Colors Theatre Company or exploring a gallery show, we’ve got you covered with practical details to help you secure your seats and plan a smooth visit.
SWAC’s campus features a main theater with seating capacity around 375 seats (the theater is reported to have 365 fixed seats) and a Black Box theater that can accommodate up to 60 guests. The lobby area supports 100–150 guests for pre-show and intermission gatherings. Public seating charts aren’t published, but detailed floor plans and space layouts for the theater, Black Box, lobby, and ancillary spaces are available through the City Rentals page. On-site, free secured parking is provided, with parking attendants available during performances to ensure an easy arrival.
Located in southwest Atlanta at 915 New Hope Rd SW, SWAC is accessible by multiple transit options and is within reach of several hotels and dining options to help you plan a great night out.
Parking is free and on-site, helping you avoid the typical theater parking hassles. For those using public transit, nearby MARTA routes service the City of South Fulton area, with closest rail stations at College Park and East Point. If you’re driving in, consider staying nearby at one of the recommended hotels—Holiday Inn Express & Suites Atlanta Airport West – Camp Creek or Home2 Suites by Hilton Atlanta Camp Creek Parkway—both conveniently located near SWAC and other Camp Creek corridor amenities. After the show, you’ll find nearby dining options and local attractions to round out your visit.
Upcoming events feature rotating performances and exhibitions, including works by True Colors Theatre Company and installations such as A Shinnecock Story. For a smooth experience, secure your seats early through our trusted ticket partners, and rely on SWAC’s convenient facilities and neighborhood resources to make your visit easy and enjoyable.
