Hafenklang’s history is rich: it began as a recording studio where Einstürzende Neubauten laid down early albums, later expanding in 2007–2008 to include the upper floors and the Goldener Salon. The venue was saved from demolition in 1997 and has continued to thrive, earning the Club Award 2025 for Best Club.
