About Hancher Auditorium - Strauss Hall
Welcome to Hancher Auditorium and Strauss Hall, the University of Iowa’s premier performing arts venues. Rebuilt after the 2008 flood and reopening in 2016, Hancher hosts a broad slate of concerts, theater, dance, and community events. With the main Hadley Stage auditorium seating up to 1,800 and Strauss Hall with around 225 seats (club configurations typically 100–200), you’ll find intimate and grand performances just a short walk from campus life in Iowa City.
