Located at 45 Symphony Way, this city-owned performing arts center hosts everything from symphony performances to concerts, plays, and special events. The Hemmens offers a versatile main theatre and a spacious Exhibition Hall, making it a hub for cultural experiences in the greater Chicagoland area. Note: The Hemmens continues to enhance its facilities. A North Side lobby expansion and upgrades completed in 2025 provide a refreshed experience while maintaining the center’s welcoming, approachable vibe. The main theatre typically sits up to 1,247 seats for certain productions, though configurations can vary by event.
