Iron City Light Amphitheatre, a cornerstone of Pittsburgh’s riverfront entertainment, has a rich history dating back to 1989. Opened as Melody Amphitheatre at Station Square, the venue evolved through several names before its demolition in 2012 to make way for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds’ Highmark Stadium. Today, fans in the area remember its intimate setting and the memorable acts it hosted, from The Judds to Stevie Ray Vaughan. - Opened in 1989 as Melody Amphitheatre at Station Square; later renamed I.C. Light Amphitheatre (1990–2003), Chevrolet Amphitheatre (2003–2006), The Amphitheatre at Station Square (2009–2010), and Trib Total Media Amphitheatre (2010–2012).
- Capacity was about 5,000 seats (varied by configuration; later reports note up to roughly 5,000).
- Location and addresses changed with name changes: historically at Station Square on the South Shore of Pittsburgh; addresses include 125 W Station Square Dr (I.C. Light era) and 1 E Station Square Dr (Trib era).
- Demolished in April 2012 to make way for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds’ Highmark Stadium; the site now hosts the stadium and related events.
