John Smith Field is the on-campus home of the Sacramento State Hornets baseball team, located on the California State University, Sacramento campus. The venue has a total seating capacity of 1,200, including VIP chairbacks and general admission seating. The field has a storied history, including hosting NCAA Division II West Regionals in 1986 and 1988, and the site of the first on-campus night game on May 17, 2016. The stadium’s renaming in 2010 honored longtime coach John Smith.
