The Smith Center, part of George Washington University, has long hosted tennis and campus events, including notable World TeamTennis showcases. With a standing capacity for basketball of about 5,000 and a tennis configuration around 3,200, the arena transforms to deliver an intimate, high-energy tennis experience—especially with premium Baseline Experience seats and 48 luxury seats near the baseline. Transit is convenient with the Foggy Bottom–GWU Metro station (Blue/Orange lines) nearby, plus multiple bus routes. Street parking can be limited, so consider GW visitor garages for parking. Historically, the Smith Center hosted the Kastles World TeamTennis home matches from 2014–2018 and hosted legendary events such as the Volvo Classic and Virginia Slims of Washington. While Kastles later moved to other venues, Kastles Stadium at The Smith Center remains a key part of the DC tennis legacy.
