About Miners Alley Playhouse

Miners Alley Playhouse (MAPAC) is Golden’s premier professional theatre company, operating a vibrant Mainstage and the MATYA Theatre for Young Audiences. Since opening its renovated 2023 home in the historic Meyer Hardware building, MAPAC has earned local recognition, including Best New Theater (2024) from Westword. The theater seats up to 160 in its main stage, with ADA seating options and a seating map that lets you select seats online. The venue also features Lillie’s Saloon, a lobby bar, for pre-show and intermission refreshments.

Parking at MAPAC is limited on-site, but there are two north/south lots near 12th & Arapahoe and two Jackson Street garages offering two hours free before 5pm with registration. Street parking is available with standard limits. Public transit options include the Ore Cart shuttle service that connects Golden to RTD and the W Line, helping you reach MAPAC from downtown Golden and surrounding areas. If you’re visiting from out of town, consider booking a hotel nearby, such as The Golden Hotel, for convenient access to MAPAC and Golden’s dining scene.
