About Nashville Public Square Park

Nashville Public Square Park sits in the heart of downtown at Union Street and 3rd Avenue North, adjacent to the Metro Courthouse. This five-acre civic space features an oval lawn, rooftop and public plaza areas, and underground parking beneath the park. The plaza outside the courthouse was dedicated as Diane Nash Plaza in 2024, a nod to Nashville’s rich civic history. While the park itself does not have a fixed seating chart, event configurations use the lawn, temporary staging, and surrounding plaza areas to host concerts, festivals, and community gatherings. It’s the enduring home for the annual Live On The Green festival and other city-wide events.
