Nauticus is Norfolk’s premier maritime discovery destination, combining the Nauticus Museum with iconic spaces like the Brock Theater, Elizabeth River Landing, and the Battleship Wisconsin. Located at One Waterside Drive, this versatile venue hosts a range of events—from corporate gatherings and private parties to exhibitions and performances. The Wisconsin remains berthed as a museum ship, offering a dramatic backdrop for unique events. After a multi-phase redesign completed in 2023–2024, Nauticus offers modern galleries, the Goode Atrium entrance, and refreshed public spaces that make any event feel special.

Whether you’re planning a conference, gala, or private celebration, Nauticus provides proven spaces with flexible layouts and on-site support. We’ve got you covered with logistics, parking, and nearby accommodations to keep everything simple and seamless.

Key spaces include the Brock Theater, which seats up to 350, and the Elizabeth River Landing event space with nearly 12,000 square feet of adaptable area. For ship-focused events, the Battleship Wisconsin offers a Main Deck suitable for up to 600 standing or configurable layouts, the Fantail for seated events up to 250 (500 standing), the Officer’s Wardroom for around 80 seated (120 standing), and the Gun Turret with 60 seated (120 standing). Schooner Virginia is part of the Nauticus collection and offers private charters when available. On-site paid parking provides convenient access, and the venue is accessible via Tide light rail (MacArthur Square station) and multiple bus routes. Walking-distance hotels include Sheraton Norfolk Waterside, Norfolk Waterside Marriott, Courtyard Norfolk Downtown, and Residence Inn Norfolk Downtown.
