The Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society operates the museum located at 227 South Main Street, West Hartford, CT 06107. As a National Historic Landmark, the venue blends rich history with flexible event spaces suited for meetings, lectures, weddings, and private gatherings. From the Hamilton Gallery to the West Terrace, we offer capacities and layouts designed to fit your scale and style.
Whether you’re planning a daytime tour, a lecture series like America250, or a private rental in a historic setting, you’ll find reliable, straightforward service with our team—like having a trusted friend in the business helping you secure your seats.
Parking is limited on-site, but street parking is available on South Main Street and Crestwood Road. Public hours are Monday–Friday 1:00–4:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., with self-guided tablet tours and group tours by reservation. Nearby hotels and restaurants are available to enhance your visit, with affiliate recommendations provided for easy planning. The Hamilton Gallery seats up to 50 and accommodates 75 for standing events; the West Terrace seats 24 with 40 standing. Private events overall can host dinner seating up to 50 or standing up to 75. For seating plans, the rental brochure includes Conference (≈18 seats), Classroom (24), Dinner for 48, and Lecture (up to 55).
