Note: The building is currently closed for renovation and expanded by about 40,000 square feet, with a targeted reopening in 2028. No demolition or renaming is planned. When events resume in the restored spaces, the Daniels Auditorium seats 307, the Museum Lobby accommodates up to 500 for receptions (or 250 for banquets), Demonstration Gallery supports up to 60 for receptions and 40 for theatre, and the Third Floor Balcony holds up to 200 for receptions (or 100 for banquets). Parking includes an on-site surface lot east of the museum with accessible parking, plus metered street parking along Wilmington and Edenton Streets. ADA parking is available, and weekend/after-hours parking is often free. For transit, GoRaleigh/GoTriangle options serve the area, with an R-Line stop behind the building and nearby drops-off points and bus stops.
