About Phoenix Civic Plaza
Welcome to the Phoenix Civic Plaza page, now known as the Phoenix Convention Center. This three-building complex sits at 100 North Third Street in downtown Phoenix and serves as a premier event destination in the Valley of the Sun. Whether you’re attending a trade show, a concert, or a marquee sports event, we’ve got you covered with practical details to help you secure your seats and plan your visit.
Important note: the complex includes the North and West buildings connected to a stand-alone South Building. The Third Street Canyon provides a flexible outdoor event space, while indoor venues host audiences in a range of configurations. We’ll guide you through seating capacities, parking options, transit access, and nearby hotel and dining choices to make your experience straightforward and easy.
From the larger North Ballroom with theatre seating for around 4,200 to Symphony Hall at 2,312 seats and the Orpheum Theatre seating roughly 1,364 (expanded to about 1,410 after renovations), the Phoenix Convention Center offers versatile spaces for conventions, concerts, and performances. The site is well-served by Valley Metro Light Rail with 3rd Street stops nearby, and on-site parking is available with multiple options through ParkPHX. For lodging and dining, several nearby hotels and affiliate partner restaurants provide convenient options for exhibitors, attendees, and guests.
Notable events hosted here include the NRA convention (2009), NBA All-Star Jam Session (2009), MLB All-Star Fan Fest (2011), and WWE Royal Rumble Fan Axxess (2019).
