About Port Lympne Wildlife Park
Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve sits on a sprawling 600-acre estate in Kent, offering a blend of wildlife viewing and comfortable on-site accommodations. The park is home to over 800 animals across around 75 species, with a walking area and an optional safari truck ride that delivers close-up encounters with wildlife. Whether you’re planning a family day out or a weekend getaway, we've got you covered with practical details on tickets, parking, transport, and nearby places to stay and dine.
Note: The venue is officially branded as Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve. Historically it’s referred to as Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, but today you’ll see the official name in use across materials and maps.
Port Lympne is easy to reach from London via rail and road. The car park is free and expansive, with grass bays, hard standing sections, 10 disabled bays, and dedicated coach parking. If you’re traveling by train, expect about 90 minutes from London Victoria; at peak times, a minibus shuttle operates from Bekesbourne station to help you cover the final miles. After your visit, consider staying at the Port Lympne Reserve’s on-site accommodations, including the Mansion Hotel and Treehouse Hotel, along with Pinewood, Livingstone Lodge, Elephant Lodge, and other reserve properties.
