About Raleigh Convention Center

The Raleigh Convention Center (RCC) sits in the heart of downtown Raleigh, part of a larger complex that also houses the Red Hat Amphitheater and the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts. Located at 500 South Salisbury Street, RCC is a premier venue for conventions, trade shows, and large-scale events. With approximately 500,000 square feet of space, it offers versatile areas including a 150,000 square foot Exhibit Hall, a 32,000 square foot Grand Ballroom, and an 11,200 square foot Mezzanine. Whether you are planning a large expo or an intimate conference, RCC provides flexible layouts to fit your needs. And when you’re ready to enjoy Raleigh beyond the event, we’ve got you covered with nearby hotels, dining, and easy transportation options.

Nearby transit includes R-LINE bus service stopping at the RCC main entrance, GoRaleigh routes in downtown, and convenient access to Raleigh Union Station for rail travelers. Parking is convenient with multiple public decks along Lenoir Street, Davie Street, Cabarrus Street, and Salisbury Street, with accessible spaces on the first levels and managed by The Car Park. The Raleigh Marriott City Center is directly connected to RCC via the mezzanine, and Residence Inn Raleigh Downtown sits just across the street for easy lodging. Notable recurring events at RCC include GalaxyCon Raleigh (annual, through 2031), Animate! Raleigh, and traditional Anime events historically hosted at this venue. After recent updates, RCC reopened in January 2026 following a December 2025 roof incident, with ongoing expansion plans and updated facilities.
