About Rebecca Cohn Auditorium
Welcome to the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium, a premier multipurpose concert hall and theatre inside the Dalhousie Arts Centre in Halifax. With a total capacity of 1,023—805 in the orchestra and 218 in the balcony—this venue hosts a mix of orchestral concerts, touring performers, stand-up comedy, and festival galas. In 2023, the complex expanded to include the Joseph Strug Concert Hall, broadening the arts footprint while keeping the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium as the core performance space.
Whether you’re here for a Symphony Nova Scotia performance, a touring act, or a film gala, we’ve got you covered with practical tips to secure your seats, park nearby, and find convenient lodging and dining options.
Plan ahead by checking the official seating map for seat-specific views and accessibility options. The Arts Centre box office provides the Rebecca Cohn Seating Map for accurate selection. For convenient travel, Halifax Transit routes 1, 4, 7A/B, 10, 24, and 90 stop near the venue. Parking is available at the CSB Parkade and McCain Parkade on Seymour Street, with additional street parking nearby; free parking is often available after 6:30 pm on weekdays and all day on weekends. For an easy stay nearby, consider The Lord Nelson Hotel & Suites, about a 10-minute walk from the venue.
