The Samba Carnival Parade Grounds, officially known as Sambódromo Marquês de Sapucaí and also called Passarela Professor Darcy Ribeiro, is Rio de Janeiro’s legendary parade venue. Designed by Oscar Niemeyer for the Rio Carnival, this 700-meter runway hosts the annual carnival parades and major concerts at Apotheosis Square.
